Gluten Free Playdough

I have been asked by the lovely mums who attend our classes for this recipe quite a few times so I thought I would publish it online, that way it’s here whenever you need it. This recipe is super quick and easy, and makes enough for my two kids to play happily, but can be doubled or tripled if you need to make a larger quantity…enjoy!!


1 Cup Baking Soda

1/2 Cup Cornflour

3/4 Cup Water (cold water)

food colouring


Place all of your ingredients into a pot (off the heat) and using a whisk stir them all together until the baking soda and corn flour have dissolved.

Put your pot onto the heat and whisk until the mixture thickens and comes together to form a dough.

Remove from heat, and allow to cool for a few minutes.

Turn the dough out onto the bench and knead slightly to smooth out any lumps (it will crystallise slightly while cooling but as long as you knead it while still slightly warm this will disappear)

It’s now ready for lots of messy doughy fun!!

TO STORE: place into an air tight container or zip lock bag and store in the fridge, it can be kept for 3-4 days
